So all is going good... slowly starting to wind down out of summer mode as the weather starts to get colder again. Im just glad i have had as many good times as i have had this summer. Tonight i went down to the beach to practice my tennis. I was there for an hour and a half, it was one of the longer sessions i have spent playing tennis. I thaught i had lost the little i had learned. It seems all it needed was a little refresher. I been having bbq's, playing alot of tennis, going campin, and so on and so forth. Just been havin a good time. But with good time's come's bad behavour. My alchole consumption has sky rocketed, which is not a good thing. Been keepin at it at the gym. Actually the last BMI i was afraid i would be dissapointed, but infact it was my best one yet. I was at 50% body fat when i started and now im sitting at 40%. Aswell; I had lost 20 lbs of fat, but gained 12 pounds o muscle and 8 pounds of water. so my general weight stayed the same. All in All though things are getting better. I will be moving in the next couple months, maybe to kits, or even the west end; il see how it goes. Friday was Iris's B-day (only the coolest person alive who can dance all kinds of awsome jig's) where i was drinking red wine, and snacking on a few chips... and saterday was MJ's house warming party (amazing place by the way) where i did not have and wine, but i did sample the fine cheese's and other stuff that wasnt great for my health. But even then i didnt over do it. so i should be in the clear. This new "the zone" nutrition plan, if you wanna call it that, im on is really affecting me in a good way. Combined with the excersize, im feeling wonderfull. I find my self more focused at work, more energy, and just plane happy all the time... its awsome...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I got a call from Jill ( one of the fitness world employee's thats kinda been lookin after me while in on the zone) and she wants to schedual another BMI test, its kinda been like 2-3 weeks... a little soon, but im curious to see what it says, and as usual il let you guys know how it goes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I also went to the gym monday-thursday last week. skipped out on friday to help a friend out.... im always there for friends.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;but i do have a confession to make... i had pizza this weekend while i watched the Canuck's play( by the way im glad to see one of my fav players back, and he made an awsome comeback with the winning goal. thats right ladies and gentalmen, Mr Ed Jovonaski.) If you wandering what the zone is.. its a nutrition plan, where they balance your diet, so that you have the correct portions of carbs, fats, and protiens, today is my first day on it, so il tell you how everything is going in a couple weeks.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Some of you might not know, but this past weekend i was up in Prince George,where there were a few indulgence's, like beer, pizza, and ribs, but everything else was moderated. O and there was alot of coffee.. and when i mean alot i mean a crap load. Is coffee considerd bad for a diet, i dont know, if anyone knows, please leave a comment.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; O and on this past monday at the gym i hurt my shoulder while i was doing weights(chest), it really hurt and i was worried about it all last week. That didnt stop me from working out... i just took it easy, but today its feeling alot better and il be doing chest's again tomorow, i hope it will be fine.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;o one last thing, you might have noticed that i havent been posting my weight, well the lady at fitness world suggest that i dont weight my self so often. Last week i also put on a dress shirt i havent worn in 2 years and when i did wear it last it was really tight... now it fits kinda loosly...  :P so stoked about that.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So friday was usuall.... breakfast was a cheese scone and a coffee, lunch was a small serving of chicken and a garden salad, and a apple. Dinner was a cussant melt from the Namma (cusant, avacado, tomato, and cheese), and some potato wedges. Later was a peanut butter sandwich and a piece of chicken.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I also went to the gym on friday, usual 15 mins bike, 15 mins elyptical, and 40 mins weights (arms)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Saterday Lunch was 2 slices of flying wedge pizza (yumm) and then dinner was at east side mario's where i had some kinda chicken catchetory (double yum) with some garden salad and some bread.... o i also had 2 glasses of beer with dinner (it was a friends b-day, i couldnt help my self). then into the night i consumed almost an entire bottle of red wine @_@ and had a small piece of birthday cake.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;sunday was easy, lunch was bacon and egg sandwich with some avacado on the side. Dinner was a small pizza, and some chicken. ( i know the pizza wasnt great for me.... call it a moment of weakness and i didnt feel like cookin)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When i had just finished changing at the gym yesterday i was combing my hair and this guy starts talkin to me, about how my work-outs have been, and he told me about a friend of his that that lost like a 150 pounds in like 2 years, which i found inspiering. He also asked me what my approach was, i proceaded to tell him about how i cut out sugar completely, and just became consious about what i was eating. I was really a pick me up, made me feel really good about what i was doing, not like it wasnt before, it was just that much better this time. I guess its the fack that a stranger is taking intrest in how i was doing. He must have seen me around that gym to tell you the truth.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;so now on to today.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Breakfast was a coffee and a turkey sandwich. Lunch was a veggie sandwich, 2 granola bars. I had an apple and yogert in the mid afternoon. Dinner was a chicken pitta sandwich, a piece of chicken cordon swiss, and then later as a snack i had, yogert, and a peanut butter sandwich.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I did go to the gym today, but i didnt get a chance to work out because i was doing an evaluation. So this is the low down. The good news is..... well in my sitation the only good news is that im loosing weight... The bad news was almost all expected, except for the high blood pressure, o by the way, i have high blood pressure. Its not terrible, its inbetween (normal high) and (hypertention low) something to work on.  So as of today, i was 389lbs with a 38% hydration(what ever that means, im gunna read the sheet tonight and il let you guys know soon what it means. Lunch was a small serving of chicken, some cucumber, an apple, bannana, and some fruit tofu. So today as usual i went to the gym, you know 20 mins bike, 20 mins elyptical, then 40 mins wieghts (shoulders Today). The one thing i have started to notice is that i have actually started to love going to the gym. Its weird i know, but i feel soo good when im there, workin it ,so to speak. And now when i dont go, It just doesnt feel right, and im almost in a bad mood. Iv also noticed the increased amount of energy. The other day when i was driving home from work, i was bouncin all over the place while i listend to music ( and played the air drum, I know its not the best idea while im driving, but i just cant help it some times), And im not as tired as i used to be when i wasnt working out. Its quite amazing to tell you the truth, how an hour and a half a day can really change your way of life. Well onto what i ate today..&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So today i had a chicken sandwich on brown bread, and a 500ml box of milk.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lunch was a Large serving of chicken and a green salad.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dinner was a cajun chicken wrap, and some french fries(maybe i should have had the salad. I fealt really guilty about the fries.)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;well im off to bed now... talk to you all later.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;o and its saint patty's tomorow, this is gunna be a test of my will not to drink beer. swiss sandwich from the bread garden.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;lunch was a couple crackers, and an avacado sandwich&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;dinner was some roasted chicken tortalini, and chicken cordon type='text'>saterday the run around</title><content type='html'>so as the name suggest's there was alot of running around yesterday.&lt;br /&gt;I didnt end up going to the gym, but o well.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I had a banana and a special K bar for breakfast&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;for lunch was a piece of chicken cordon swiss, and a grilled portabello mushroom, and 50 g of yogert&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;dinner was a lamb burger (wierd but delicous) and some potato wedges.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Later tonight i will post what i did and ate today.&lt;div type='text'>Ya to fridays</title><content type='html'>So today was good... went to the gym and all... my stomach has been acting up to the point where i was starting to get angry, but its fine now.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Went to the gym today&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;15 mins bike&lt;br /&gt;15 mins elyptical trainer&lt;br /&gt;30 mins weights (shoulders)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Breakfast was 12 oz americano, and a Cheese scone.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lunch was a large portion of chicken and a ceaser salad, and 500 mls of milk.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dinner was a chicken breast sandwich, I just caught the last show on tv, and i was blown away. He accomplished so much in such a small amount of time. The last objective was to climb this huge rock face called "&lt;a href="http://www.rockclimbing.com/routes/listArea.php?AreaID=995"&gt;el capitan&lt;/a&gt;" in california that is absolutly amzing, it took them 6 days to climb the damb thing. Absolutly amazing to tell you the truth. What more can i say, im inspired every time i watch that show.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well since im better today i did end up going to the gym.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;15 mins bike&lt;br /&gt;15 mins elyptical trainer&lt;br /&gt;40 mins weight lifting (chest)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For breakfast i had a special K breakfast bar, a sausage and egg wrap, and a 12 oz americano.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;lunch was a large serving of chicken, a whole wheat bun, and an apple, O and a Large bottle of Perrier(Carbonated water)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dinner was a Panninie which had, tomatos, beef, letuce, and portabello mushrooms on it, as well as a small (50g) blue berry yogert.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;well there we go for today. So because of the circumstance's i didnt end up going to the gym today. I think the most important thing for me is just to stick to it, and ride out the bad time, and never give up. This whole journey has become a life style for me i have noticed, and to tell you the truth am really happy with it. So i guess your wondering what im at.. well im at 399, ya i know its 2 pounds more than it was last week, but its the big picture that matters. So im still not gunna do it till the weekend.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So went to the gym yesterday (thursday)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;usual stuff...&lt;br /&gt;15 mins bike&lt;br /&gt;15 mins upright bike&lt;br /&gt;30 mins weight room&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;what i did end up doing was working the leg muscels in the weight room.( i usually never work those).&lt;br /&gt;I decided to try the rowing machine, and all i have to say is good god, that was hard work... like my legs were aching after 5 mins. im pretty sure it was an intense workout because it use's your body weight in the actuall excersice and it just killed me... but it felt good...&lt;br /&gt;:P&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;for breakfast i had a blueberry muffin and a apple sice muffin anda coffee(milk no sigar)&lt;br /&gt;lunch was a veggie samosa, chicken salada sandwich and a slice cuccumber.&lt;br /&gt;Dinner was 3 glasses of red wine and some tortilla chips.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;well back to work for me... il post decided that i would do it in the morning.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So yesterday i went to the gym at lunch as usual.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;20 mins upright bike&lt;br /&gt;20 mins elyptical trainer.&lt;br /&gt;30 mins weightlifting.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;for breakfast i had a chicken sandwich and a grapefruit,&lt;br /&gt;Lunch i had cantalope, avacado, 2 whole wheat dinner rolls, and a type='text'>tuesday bad tuesday</title><content type='html'>So today i went to the gym but only had time to do weightlifting, so il try and make the cardio up this weekend.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;for breakfast i ate a blueberry muffin and a medium coffee.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lunch i had a large chicken sub from quizno's, i also had a broccalie and cheese soup, and those little ity bity juice peppers. Then im not proud, but i had a pop aswell, well i dont know if it was really a pop than a juice. it was a rasberry lemonade. The good thing is i didnt like it, well i was actually repulsed by the sugar. The whole thing tasted like syrup and it was nasty. Not drinking any sugary drinks for almost 3 months reall changes things.... sugar is actually starting to gross me out some times now.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;then for dinner i helped a friend move some stuff and then we went out for dinner after. we went to an all you can eat sushi resturant, where i didnt eat all i could eat). I ate mainly the beef and chicken stuff. and then i went to the bar after and had 2 beers, which was later followed by a glass of win. I also had a class of milk before i typed this. :)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well im off to bed. The goal was to break the 400 pound mark before the end of February. Well not only have i reached that goal, but i passed it. Today i did the weight in and i am down to 397lbs, so that 5lbs in a week, And about 30bls in 56 days, that works out to about half a pound a day. I am unbelievable excited. Its kinda like a new source of insperation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;well enought with that.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;today for breakfast - bluberry muffin, Grapefruite, 12oz Coffee.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;today for lunch - chicken, 2 whole grain bun's, and mixed fruit.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;then for dinner - Beef Pho and a veitnamies spring roll. Then hung out with a friend that night.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;for lunch i had a blt sandwich, and a coffee(cream no sugar)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;then early dinner was home cooked meal from my mother. It was lamb, with veggies( potato's carrots, and some other veggie i just cant seem to remember right now)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then later that night while watching the olympics with a friend, we munched on some pizza and i had yogert and strawberry's aswell. One of the exersize's felt wierd, in my note book it listed the "Lateral pull down". So i started to do what i thaught was the right excersize, but the whole time it didnt feel right. I was right, when i got back to work i looked it up on the internet. All the excersizes i had done were right, except for the "lat pull downs", It turns out i did a tricept excersize. So that was my little mess up for they day. I guess the good thing is i dont think i will ever make that mistake again.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;15 mins up right bike.&lt;br /&gt;15 mins elyptical trainer.&lt;br /&gt;30 mins of weight lifting.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Breakfast i had, granola and yogert bar, an Orange, and a Grapefruit. I also had aa Orange Peako Tea(milk no sugar)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lunch i had, 2 small chicken pies, cherry tomatos, and a cheese bread that had a small piece of pepperoni in it. I only ended up doing cardio because i got caught up at work till about 1, i usualy go at about noon, and only had enought time to do the cardio. So i have to make the weightlifting up sometime this week.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For Breakfast i had a bagle with a light spread of herb and garilic cream cheese on one side and a poched egg on the other half, and a strawberry yogart granola bar washed down with a glass of skimed mild. I also had some orange peako tea(milk no sugar).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then For lunch i had a bali chicken wrap(at least thats what i think it was) from Capers, a couple small whole wheat dinner rolls that i dipped in the left over spinach dip from yesterday. I also had 2 glasses of the low cal cranberry grape juice. and in the late afternoon i had a 12oz American(milk no sugar) and an orange.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then for dinner i went out for dinner on Comercial Drive with a good friend of mine. I had a Sleeve of light beer to drink and for dinner i had garlic lemon chicken breast with roasted vegitables (carrots, colliflower, broccoli, and roasted potato's) with 2 small slices of garilic toast. I went to the gym where i did my usual regiment of exercies&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;20 min upright bike.&lt;br /&gt;20 min elyptical trainer.&lt;br /&gt;40 mins weight lifting.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To day we focused on the chest.. and i can already tell its going to hurt tomorow :)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But on to some  good news. I Weighed in today. Im down to 402, thats 2 pounds in since last wednesday. Im hoping to break the 400's and enter the 300's by the end of this month.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So lets see what i can do.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now on to what i had to eat today.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For Breakfast i had a blueberry muffin, an apple, and a coffee(milk no sugar)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then for lunch i had some chicken breast, and two sliced multigrain buns dipped in spinach dip. After i got up i did a little house cleaning, I didnt go to the gym today, it was kind of a "let the muscles rest" day. I did however end up going to the Super market to pick up a few groceries.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I ended up catching something on tv that i found to be quite motivating. I dont know if you guys have ever heard of that tv show on Much Music called "jack osbourn; Adrenaline junkie". Well the idea is that jack osbourne is trying to do all these different physical activities but he isnt in the best physical shape so he has to train untill he accomplishes what he set out to do.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The episode that i caught, was where jack was in Thailand learning how to Thai Box and all the stuff he goes through to get in shape. He also has to fight an apponent in 6 weeks from when he starts. He ends up working his ass of and i was really impressed. In the end he ended up beating the guy he was fighting in his first public match. I guess what i am trying to say is that it was quite motivating to see this guy working so hard to reach his goal, and stuff like that really inspires me.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But enought of that. So now to what i had to eat today&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So For Brunch I had a Grapefruit and a bagle( with a light spreading of natural organic peanut butter on half and nothing on the other)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then as an afternoon snack i had 2 strawberry yogert granola bars and a glass of milk.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then for Dinner i made spinach tortellini with cheese stuffing with some sliced chicken, mushrooms and artachoke hearts. I had an average portion size of the pasta. I also had a side garden salad that had alot of greens in it, as well as a sliced Roma tomato and half a small avacado dressed with an olive oil and balsamic viniger dressing. I also had a glass of red whine with dinner.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Later I had a small portion of peach tofo for desert.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well its pretty late and i need to get my sleep. So this part is trickey i need to find out how to keep track of body fat loss and muscles mass gain, so that i can keep accurate track of how im doing, suggetions in the comments section would be greatly appreciated.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now on to how i did today.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So today i had a roast beef sandwich for lunch, it was a regular sized portion. I also had a dark roast coffee(milk no sugar) with it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;      I had a Grapefruit as a snack with a diet ginger ale.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then At dinner it was a home cooked meal from my parents house. It was a couple roasted pork chops with a small portion of pasta, and a dinner roll. I really dont think the pork chops were relatively good for me because they were smotherd in a sauce that is probably mostly sugar. but the pasta was good it was just a bit of a white sauce with some veggies.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then After the gym i had a bit of a food craving and had 2 small slices of pizza (and a couple potato chips) from a place near my friends house.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I also ended up going to the gym in langley today with my younger brother, It was cut a little short though, so i only did 20 mins on the elyptical and then the full weight lifting session. So where to start.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What i had to eat and drink today:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For breakfast i had a Blue berry muffin from the IGA and I had a 12 oc Americano (milk and no sugar).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For Lunch i had an order of calamary, as well as a skillet of grilled mushrooms which had a couple  slices of toasted bread. I had a 710ml becks beer with lunch. Followed after by another Americano (milk no sugar). And in the late afternoon i had another 355ml sleemans honey brown.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For dinner i had 4 veggie spring rolls and a few bites of calamary. I had 2 Vodka Tonics with dinner.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So thats what i ate today.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I also went to the gym after work. So where to start; for the people i don't know or haven't seen/talked to in a long while, il get you up to speed on what i am trying to do.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;       Since i was a young boy i have been over weight, i have never really known what it is like to be fit or skinny. I have never been motivated enough or had a reason to try and drop the pounds, and now i do, I wont share it with you guys yet but im sure in the near future i will. After 2 years (actually its 22 months) of working at Mainframe i finally decided that it was time to drop the pounds. Now im not saying that i haven't tried before.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;        It starts with a conversation i had over a year ago with a friend who really put it into perspective, which was one of the first times i had actually really thought about dropping the pounds. After that i started at the gym across the street from my work, and had a few good spurts. I just wasn't thinking about it in the  right way. I was going to the gym on monday's,wednesday's and friday's, the problem with that is on tuesday and thursday i would start to get lazy and fall out of it making it harder to go back the next day. I also wasn't eating healthy yet, i assumed that if i just kept going to the gym but eating shit that it wouldn't really matter because im going to the gym. Ya i now know that this is a big no no. So just after the summer of 2005 i got sick and stopped going to the gym and eventually fell out of it completely. Then by Christmas 2005 i had realized that not only did i get back what i had lost, i had actually started to put more weight on, and this is as they say "was the straw that broke the camels back".&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;        So here i am now. Telling you all this, and hoping you guys will share my journey with me. I have been eating healthier and been back at the gym for about a month and a half (i started about jan 3 or 4th). When i did start i was a startling 426 pounds. Now keep in mind that im about 6 feet 4 inches so my ideal weight is about 250 pounds which means my long term goal is to lose about 175 pounds, But right now im making small milestones. The first one being 50 pounds by june. Right now after a month and a half at the gym i am down to 404 pounds when i checked on wednesday.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;        I will try to update this blog a few times a week keeping you guys up to date on what i am eating, what i am doing to loose the pounds, and even when i falter. I will update my weight weekly, probably on mondays.
